Estonia in the 1980s. A couple takes in a stray cat and dubs him Teofrastus. As winter approaches, they leave their idyllic country house and take him with them back to the city. When he goes AWOL from their apartment there, the city is not kind to him … The claymation film is a sensitive plea for human compassion and the right of all creatures to a sheltered space.
