Since the death of Ingimundur's wife two years previously, the police officer, on leave from work, has spent a lot of time with his young granddaughter, who has followed the renovation of his new home, on a remote farmstead, with interest. Ingimundur attends counselling to come to terms with his grief. But when he finds evidence among his dead wife's things that indicates she cheated on him, the pain returns – and Ingimundur resorts to brutal measures to still his rage. According to an Icelandic saying, on certain "white days" it is possible to converse with the dead. And it is to such an exchange that the cool and aloof visuals, and superb construction of this psychological portrait of a hardened man leads. The Icelandic star Ingvar E. Sigurðsson ("Of Horses and Men", NFL 2014) excels in his embodiment of the film's lead character.
The Screenings on october 31st at Kolosseum and on november 3rd at CineStar 3 will be with german subtitles.
