Anne is a woman in the best of circumstances. Very attractive, a very successful lawyer of family law, happily married to a loving husband, and the mother of two charming daughters. The four of them live in a villa-like detached house, close to the edge of a forest, with a magnificent view of the garden. Anne's life seems perfect, her biggest fear is simply “that everything will disappear”. And yet, she puts her paradise at risk. When Gustav, her husband's son from his first marriage, moves in unexpectedly, she begins a passionate affair with the 17-year-old … “Queen of Hearts” tells the story of a fall from grace with great persuasiveness. Trine Dyrholm delivers an absolutely fascinating embodiment of an outwardly cool but inwardly in-turmoil seductress who, at a crossroads in her life, risks everything she has.
