A gruesome war forces two brothers to emigrate. Protected by their mother, the boys nonetheless pursue their dream of playing a musical instrument, a beautiful oud. They collect junk to earn money toward it, until one day their mother’s fear proves well-founded. This animated film won first prize at the student Oscars in 2016, not only for its extraordinary visuals.
