The film tells the story of a Latin American immigrant in Sweden. In a series of flashbacks, we follow his increasing frustration at being unable to really find his feet in life in the northern country. The film is a candid and unvarnished portrait of the situation facing young male immigrants in 1970s Stockholm who have lost their belief not only in the political struggle, but also in unconditional love.
