This documentary essay deals with upheavals in the neighbourhood of Hamburg-Altona. During the course of construction of a “New Altona Centre”, a portion of the train yard is being turned into a park which will integrate a number of heritage-protected relics. Project developers’ speculations and architectural visions meet up against the critical voices of residents, geological and contaminant analyses, and political interests.
