While twelve-year-old Mathias is spending his holiday sailing with his parents on the Danish coast, he discovers his sexuality. A Danish girl, whom he observes from the boat by chance and later meets on land, captures his imagination. But Mathias finds the fact that his parents still treat him like a child increasingly hard to tolerate.
