Alena comes from a humble background and when she transfers to an elite girls’ boarding school, Filippa and her posse take every opportunity to remind Alena that she’s a nobody among the rich girls. It starts with verbal taunts and soon escalates to mean tricks. Alena’s friendship with Fabienne, the only classmate not under Filippa’s influence, doesn’t make things any better for her. When Alena threatens Filippa’s position on the lacrosse team, the situation worsens and Filippa uses violence to try and destroy her adversary’s existence. A mysterious guardian angel initially comes to Alena’s aid, but she also seems to have a problem with the closeness between Alena and Fabienne. This teen drama-thriller with horror elements is based on the graphic novel of the same name by Kim W. Andersson.
