He’s proud of just having introduced his boyfriend to Mama. She has no problem at all with it. But she doesn’t think it’s a good idea to tell his father he’s gay. And they certainly shouldn’t hold hands in public, since not everyone is as understanding as she is. In only two shots, this film pointedly demonstrates how dishonest supposed tolerance can be.
