Hilde is bored with life in her middle-class suburb. Then an eccentric rock band moves into the run-down house next door. From her bedroom window, Hilde watches (and photographs) the illustrious goings-on of the musicians and their friends, and realizes that life can be different – wild, non-conformist and boisterous. Bit by bit, she’s drawn into her cool neighbours’ world; she starts dressing differently and develops new tastes in music. Hilde is particularly enthralled by the charismatic lead singer Henriette. The budding rock star is not immune to these attentions and enjoys being photographed and filmed by the talented 15-year-old. But when one of Hilde’s videos becomes a hit on YouTube, everything changes. A sensitive coming-of-age film with music video elements and a great soundtrack, which defies the usual clichés of the genre.
