A new job, a new town, a new wardrobe. Kristian the geologist and his family are preparing for a move. On his last day of work at the landslide early warning centre near Geiranger, his colleagues share a marzipan cake to see him off. But when the instruments suddenly start giving unusual readings, he has a dreadful hunch. The rock strata of nearby Åkerneset Mountain might have started shifting. No one believes him, but by nightfall his fears come true. Giant masses of rock tumble into the fjord, sending a huge tsunami towards the town. In the midst of the rising panic, Kristian tries to save his family. The film is an action-packed disaster movie that can compete with any Hollywood blockbuster. For one thing, this scenario is realistic. Tafjord, Norway was struck by a tsunami in the 1930s and real-life Geiranger lives under the constant threat of a landslide.
