The film journeys back to the early 1960s. The Hotel Bellevue in Lauenburg, which then was a border crossing zone. Three generations of the Timm family have seen it all, from fabulous parties to hungry crowds on a day outing and the structural changes to the local economy that came with German re-unification. They have done their best to keep up and a new, young Brazilian boss is a big help.
