Children´s and Youth Films, Norway 2013, 76 Min., 5 years and older
Even in the sleepy village of Flåklypa, it’s impossible to imagine Christmas without snow. So Solan and Ludvig persuade inventor Reodor Felgen to build the most powerful snow machine ever seen. It all goes a bit pear-shaped when the machine ends up in the hands of small-town journalist Pløsen, who hopes to finally garner proper headlines with a record snowfall. When the machine takes on a mind of its own, Ludvig the hedgehog has to overcome his fears. The story for this puppetoon was written by Harald Sommerin Simonnæs, based on the famous book series by Kjell Aukrust. The characters were first seen in “Pinchcliffe Grand Prix” (Ivo Caprino, 1975), which became one of the most popular Norwegian films of all time, and is traditionally shown in Norway at Christmas.
