“Welcome to Oslo!” After climbing out of the bus in the bright sunshine, they are immediately subjected to an official greeting. The refugees, who otherwise endure temporary housing in a snowy no-man’s-land, are meant to experience an outing to the nation’s capital for a change of scenery. They’re meant to forget for a short time that their lives are on standby, and gather courage for a new beginning. But between the past and the future, each traveller must find his way, in his own fashion. Beritan has eight hours to get revenge for the death of her husband. Akhbar is desperate to find money for his new passport. Zirek wants to finally meet a girl and be a normal teenager. And 82-year-old Mirza takes a last opportunity to help his children finally find some peace; he writes a letter to the king of Norway.
