Mirella Hautala & Månskensorkestern.

Månskensorkestern (the moon light orchestra) is a Swedish band playing Finnish tango. The group was founded in 2004 when the two friends Viktor Littmarck and Darya Pakarinen found out that they both has Finnish moms called Sirpa. Then they started to play Finnish music together.
Månskensorkestern has a new approach on Finnish tango, a one for the young generation of Sweden Finns born in Sweden but with one or two Finnish parents. The music is old but the sound is fresh. Retro style but with a modern approach.
Månskensorkestern has their own club in Stockholm called Tangopalatsi were they have collaborated with many Swedish and Finnish artists such as Anna Järvinen, Frida Hyvönen, Saska Hellmikallio, Amadeus Lundberg and Arja Saijonmaa. The band has released one album so far and reached a big audience, both young and not so young.
In Lübeck Månskensorkestern will be playing with Mirella Hautala as a vocalist, who is also singing with the band in the film “Finnish Blood, Swedish Heart”.
