When they meet in Kindergarten, Caspar and Emma become friends as quickly as their soft toys, Casper's lion and Emma's white rabbit. Soon it is Emma's birthday, and she heartily wishes for a dog. This is to be Bassa, whom the children have already visited at the animal shelter. But Emma's rabbit doesn't like the idea at all. It has no ambitions to become the third wheel, so it decides to run away when they visit a fire station. But of all people it is Bassa who returns the runaway toy to Emma! An adaptation of the popular children's books, “Caspar and Emma” provides magical feel-good cinema for small children, in which the animated protagonists sometimes turn into princes and princesses or find themselves in an Indian jungle.
