When they meet in Kindergarten, Caspar and Emma become friends as quickly as their soft toys, Casper's lion and Emma's white rabbit. Soon it is Emma's birthday, and she heartily wishes for a dog. This is to be Bassa, whom the children have already visited at the animal shelter. But Emma's rabbit doesn't like the idea at all.
