Competition Narrative Films, Sweden / Finland 2012, 88 Min.
When Hella's father is suspected of murder and is to be arrested, the twelve-year-old will be admitted to an orphanage. To prevent that from happening, the father and his daughter decide to flee into the Swedish forests, where they find shelter near an enchanting lake. The natural environment provides an emotional microcosm in which father and daughter are given the opportunity of rediscovering and getting to know each other on an entirely new level - slowly revealing the actual course of events as well as a hitherto problematic family life. The intense acting performances by Jakob Cedergren and Clara Christiansson, set against the impressive forest backdrop, are the deciding factor in this moving father-son drama that co-stars nature itself.
