Norway, 1981. After vast oil and gas reserves have been discovered in the North Sea, the US company Subsea hires divers to see if it's possible for humans to work 500 metres under the sea and build a pipeline to the mainland. Petter and his brother Knut are part of the team. After intense training they go on a 350-metre test dive, during which Knut dies in a tragic accident. When Petter attempts to find out what happened, he becomes entangled in a web of corruption, murder and international rivalry. He unveils the dark side of oil production step by step and soon faces the question: what is more important - the truth or his own life? An atmospherically dense thriller of the higest order, after an idea by Hans Gunnarsson (“Evil”).
