For no apparent reason, a young, confused Dane kills an elderly couple in snowy Sweden. Two years later he partakes in an experiment whilst in psychiatric care in Denmark. The psychologist Lisbeth has inmates take care of pets in order to strengthen their social competence. But the adolescent panics when he hears his cat speak the voice of God and attempts to commit suicide. Lisbeth introduces him to the pastor Helen, who suceeds in unveiling his secret during intense conversations. A deep psychological scar is revealed in this disturbing drama after the Swedish author Per Olov Enquist (“The Visit of the Royal Physician”), featuring an amazing performance by Frederik Johansen (“A Royal Affair”, NFL 2011).
