Casper's mother would rather not ask where her 18-year-old son got his new watch. He is a professional burglar and works for fence Jamal. One day Caspar is fed up with Jamal's bad pay and starts to work for the dealer and pimp Bjørn. In doing so, he sets off a gang war in which he and his brother Andy soon get caught in the crossfire. Director Michael Noer and his co-author Rasmus Heisterberg (“Millennium” trilogy) have developed a thrilling plot that was shot almost entirely in Copenhagen's tough immigrant quarter Nordvest. With its realistic depiction of the petty crime scene, this directing debut acts in the tradition of Martin Scorsese's “Mean Streets”.
