PangPangbröder, 53 scener från en barndom

For ten years, documentary filmmaker Axel Danielson accompanied his two nephews between the ages of 9 and 19: Oskar and Gustav are twins, yet they must master their lives very individually. While Gustav enjoys a normal childhood, Oskar suffers from restricted growth and is regularly subjected to painful operations. At first Oskar and Gustav are shown playing with the animals on their parent's farm. The next scene features Oskar piercing his ear with a safety pin and cutting himself a punk haircut. Three years later Gustav tells of his wish to become a classical singer and experiences his first drunken stupor at a new year's party. Director Danielsson opts for a home video style in this intense documentary, both tender and relentless at once. The result is a unique portrayal of the development of two individuals from childhood to early adulthood.
