Sykt lykkelig

Katja has everything she needs to be happy: a husband, a home, a child, a contemplative life life in provincial Norway. But when Sigve and Elisabeth move in next door, her stable view of the world beginds to collapse. While the neighbours are freshly in love and self-confidently relaxed, Kaja and Eirik are often quibbling and fighting: Eirik refuses to sleep with Kaja, because she is "not attractive enough", and instead he goes hunting with his buddies. When Kaja then succumbs to a love affair with her attractive neighbour, it dawns on her that Eirik and his friends may not just be hunting. Director Anne Sewitsky's debut film is one of Norway's most exciting productions of the year: "Happy, Happy" is to be released in more than 50 countries, and is set to be Norway's Oscar submission. In her intelligent tragicomedy, Anne Sewitsky dissects the lies lived by its bourgeois protagonists and she guides her cast to an exceptional acting performance.
