Filmforum, Germany 2010, 91 Min., English subtitles

The 27-year old Luk from Hamburg, of Turkish descent, can't really get his act together – until an unexpected win in the lottery opens up entirely new perspectives for the whole family. While Luk is still pondering what he will do with the money, his disputatious parents have already decided to spend their entire share on a hotel in Cappadocia. Luk's older brother Murat takes his share to buy a terraced house in the country. Only Luk has no idea. Until he runs across his ex-girlfriend and love of his life Gül. She works as a nurse and earns a little on the side singing at weddings. Suddenly everything becomes clear to him: Luk will use his money to produce a record with Gül. He will accompany her on the Turkish lute and thanks to Gül's enchanting voice and a poppy sound they will make a hit and become rich and famous. And in the process he will also win back his girlfriends heart. Unfortunately his cousin Cem keeps interfering!
