Seeking traces in Greenland: In 1931 Hallvard Ophuus Devold (1898-1957) reclaimed the eastern part of the country in the name of the king of Norway. In 1941 he even made a deal with the occupying Germans to secure a Norwegian hold on Greenland. His grandson, the filmmaker, cannot understand why.
