Film festival meets university of fine arts: in cooperation with Media Docks, Filmforum Schleswig-Holstein wishes to give young talents an opportunity to demonstrate their skills within the framework of the Nordic Film Days Lübeck. For this purpose, Filmforum Schleswig-Holstein will make a guest appearance on the premises of Media Docks, presenting a manifold programme of short student films, graduate films and videos from seminar projects against the picturesque backdrop of the Hanseatic City’s harbour. e.g. Ranjan Shetty’s contribution “Solitude Dreams” depicts fear and terror taking hold of our consciousness as we sleep. The graduate of ISNM Lübeck was awarded the Nokia Mobile Film Award 2007 in India for his film. Dana Linkiewicz’ short crime story “Doppelmord”, a production of Cologne Media Art School, describes how dangerous it can be to uncover old, unforgiven stories. Besides further short films by students, Muthesius Art School from Kiel will present a selection of this year’s works. On occasion of the school’s 100th anniversary this year, Lars Mehlfeld shot a multiple interview with his fellow students and professors. Nils-Holger Schomann, lecturer for video design at ISNM, will moderate the evening.
