Nordic Film Days Lübeck is expanding on its function as a meeting point for the international media industry by providing an extensive support programme for industry representatives and journalists. Besides a film market for Scandinavian productions yet to be distributed in Germany, the “Lübeck Meetings” industry programme includes a conference of German and Scandinavian producers as well as a workshop with scriptwriters from Scandinavia and Germany. The accompanying media-pedagogical seminar provides an opportunity for viewing and discussing selected children’s and youth films from Scandinavia and the Baltic Region with media-pedagocical experts. On the occasion of Nordic Film Days Lübeck, Media Desk Deutschland hosts its annual co-production meeting for selected producers, distributors and representatives of film funding institutions. First Motion, a cross-media project for the Baltic Sea Region, initiated by Filmförderung Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein, presents an information event in the KoKi cinema by example of funded projects from Scandinavia and the Baltic Region. Filmförderung Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein also hosts a film breakfast with Bernd-Günther Nahm, Arne Sommer and Jing Haase of Filmkontakt Nord, each introducing their respective institutions. The “Que Pasa” bar next to Filmpalast Stadthalle provides a relaxed atmosphere for the Blue Hour Festival Talks with drinks and cocktails at happy hour prices. The festival invites all film fans and the Lübeck audience to the official pre-awards party at Filmschuppen in the harbour. And lastly, the ceremonious Film Prize Night features the presentation of all of the 53rd Nordic Film Days Lübeck awards – to the exhilarating sounds of the Danish electronic a cappella artists Postyr.
