“Home for Christmas” by Norwegian star director Bent Hamer (“Kitchen Stories”) is released in German cinemas on 2nd December, distributed by “Pandora Film”. The Christmas film caused quite a stir in the competition at the 52nd Nordic Film Days Lübeck and has been highly acclaimed by critics: The renowned magazine “epd Film”, for instance, states that director Hamer “shares in his figures’ hardships, he has a heart for the common man’s struggles, for all those losers whose loneliness and isolation increases all the more around Christmas.” The broadcasting company Bayrischer Rundfunk stresses that “Home for Christmas” is “a slightly different Christmas film.” It is “dazzlingly beautiful” for those “who can do without kitsch and glitter.” Please find more information on the German cinema release at http://home-for-christmas.pandorafilm.de/.
