He was one of the oldest visitors and a beloved friend of Nordic Film Days Lübeck: In honour of Pål Bang-Hansen from Norway, who passed away earlier this year, the festival presents two films from his oeuvre as a film director - the short film "How I Became an Art Collector Without Really Trying" and the full-length feature film "The Crown Prince".
He became famous not only as a successful film director and scriptwriter, but also as Norway's best-known film critic, working for the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation and travelling to Europe's traditional film festivals including Berlinale, Cannes and Nordic Film Days Lübeck. As a film expert, he ran and hosted the show "Filmmagasinet" on Norwegian television for decades.
