Regisseur Gunnar Bergdahl, 1951 in Stockholm geboren, studierte an der Universität von Göteborg Journalismus. Er engagierte sich anschließend bei Folkets Bio, einem kleinen unabhängigen Kulturkino, als Programmgestalter. Später arbeitete er als Filmkritiker für die "Göteborgs-Posten". Seit Mitte der 80er Jahre arbeitet er für das Göteborg Film Festival, dessen Direktor er seit 1994 ist. "Bergmanna Stimme" ist sein erster Film.

Director Gunnar Bergdahl, born 1951 in Stockholm, studied journalism at University of Göteborg before joining up with the small arthouse cinema Folkets Bio as programme head. He went on to work as film critic for Göteborgs-Posten newspaper. He has worked for the Göteborg Film Festival since the mid-80s, and became its director in 1994. "The Voice of Bergman" is his debut film.
