Inhalt/ Summary

Roy ist das Wrack eines liebeshungrigen Postboten, dominiert von Eigenartigkeit, mit dem Talent, am falschen Platz zur falschen Zeit zu sein. Roy hat keinen Respekt vor Privatsphäre oder Eigentum, er stiehlt Post, beleidigt seine Freunde und Kollegen. Sein Leben verläuft im Kreis. Doch eines Tages passiert etwas. Line, eine junge Frau, vergißt ihre Türschlüssel im Briefkasten. Roy zögert nur einen Augenblick, dann schließt er auf, betritt die Wohnung - und sein Leben nimmt einen anderen Lauf.
Eine Komödie über Liebe, Geld, das niemand haben will, kalte Spaghetti aus Dosen, Karaoke, unfreiwillige gute Taten, die Brunft und die Freude darüber, komatös zu sein - mit viel schwarzem Humor.

Roy is a wreck of a love-starved mailman ruled by curiosity, a mean streak and a mighty ability to find himself in the wrong place at the wrong time. He has no respect for othersí privacy or property, suffers from an acute lack of professional ethics, steals mail and insults his few friends and colleagues. Life goes in small circles for Roy, but one day something happens. Line, a young woman, forgets her keys in the mailbox. After a barely noticeable momentís hesitation, Roy takes the keys, goes up to the apartment and unlocks the door - whereupon his life takes a different turn.
A black comedy about love, money that no one wants, cold canned spaghetti, karaoke, involuntary good deeds, rutting and the joy of being comatose.

Regisseur Pål Sletaune, Jahrgang 1960, studierte Literatur und Kunstgeschichtete an der Universität von Oslo, arbeitete zunächst als Fotograf."Junk Mail" ist sein erster abendfüllender Spielfilm.

Director Pål Sletaune, born in 1960, studied literature and art history at the University of Oslo, working at first as a photographer. "Junk Mail" is his first full-length feature film.
