Ein Film über den weiblichen Körper und wie es ist, in und mit ihm zu leben. Obwohl über 50 Frauen jeden Alters und aller erdenklichen Proportionen in dem Werk vorkommen, ist es doch die sehr persönliche und subjektive Sicht der Regisseurin, die den Film prägt. Mit viel Sinn für Humor.
"Liebenswürdige Kurven" erhielt den ersten Preis und den Publikumspreis beim internationalen Kurzfilmfestival in Tampere/Finnland und den Publikumspreis beim internationalen Frauenfilmfestival in Créteil/Frankreich.

A film about the female body and what it is like to live in it. Although more than 50 women of all ages and proportions are represented in the work, it is the very personal and subjective view of the director that marks the film. And her great sense of humour as well.
"Gracious Curves" was awarded the first prize and the audience prize at the international film festival in Tampere/Finland and the audience prize at the international womenís film festival in Créteil/France.

Regisseurin Kiti Luostarinen, Jahrgang 1951, studierte an der Universität von Helsinki. Dort und an der Universität von Jyväskylä arbeitete sie als wissenschaftliche Assistentin. Außerdem war sie als Fotografin tätig. Seit 1983 dreht sie Filme, mit einigen gewann sie eine Reihe von Auszeichnungen.

Director Kiti Luostarinen, born in 1951, studied at the University of Helsinki. She worked there and at the University of Jyväskylä as assistant professor. She has also worked as a photographer. She has been making films since 1983, for which she won numerous awards.
