Marc Boettcher, geboren 1965, studierte Theaterwissenschaft, Germanistik und Publizistik an der FU Berlin und machte parallel dazu eine Schauspiel- und Gesangsausbildung. Er war als Schauspieler, Dramaturg und Regieassistent, später auch als Regisseur an verschiedenen Bühnen (u.a. in Lübeck) tätig, arbeitete als Jounalist und Redakeur für verschiedene Zeitungen, Zeitschriften, Radio- und Fernsehsender sowie als Synchronautor und -regisseur. Er schrieb Schlagertexte und Bühnenstücke, veröffentlichte Essays und Bücher über Theater- und Fernsehthemen sowie Künstlerbiographien, darunter über die Schlager-Ikone Alexandra und den Komponisten und Bandleader Bert Kaempfert. Seine Fernsehdokumentation über die Sängerin Alexandra wurde von mehr als zehn Millionen Zuschauern gesehen. Marc Boettcher lebt als freischaffender Schauspieler, Regisseur, Journalist und Autor in Berlin.

Marc Boettcher, born in 1965, studied drama, German and journalism at the Free University Berlin. Parallel to this, he trained as an actor and singer. Afterwards he worked in various theatres (including in Lübeck) as an actor, dramaturge and assistant director, later as a director. He has also been a journalist and editor for various newspapers, magazines, radio and television stations - and a writer and director of synchronisation. He has written song texts and theatre plays, and has published numerous essays and books about theatre and television and biographies of artists, including books about Henrik Ibsen, the chanson singer Alexandra and the composer and bandleader Bert Kaempfert. Today he lives as a freelance actor, director, journalist and author in Berlin.
