Talks im Offenen Kanal | Live from the Filmpalast
Seit Jahren berichtet der Offene Kanal Lübeck live aus dem Foyer des CineStar Filmpalast Stadthalle mit Interviews und Berichten über die Nordischen Filmtage. Nun soll diese Kooperation noch verstärkt werden. Die traditionellen Filmtage-Talks sollen ab Freitag, dem 2.11., täglich um 15.05 Uhr von der New York Bar aus live übertragen werden. Per Beamer werden die Diskussionen auf eine Leinwand projiziert, so dass man die Diskussion auch vom unteren Foyer aus verfolgen kann. "Wir freuen uns sehr auf diese Zusammenarbeit", sagt Wolfgang Fabian vom Offenen Kanal. Wir auch!
 
For years the public broadcaster Offener Kanal Lübeck has reported on the festival live from the foyer of the CineStar Filmpalast Stadthalle. This cooperation will now be increased. The traditional Filmtage-Talks will be broadcast live daily at 15.05 hrs starting on Friday, November 2. The discussions at the New York Bar will be beamed below to the foyer during the broadcast. "We're looking forward to working together on this," says Wolfgang Fabian from the Offener Kanal. So are we!

Die "Filmriss"-Redaktion des Offenen Kanals Lübeck berichtet Donnerstag bis Sonntag, 1. bis 4. November, jeweils von 16.00 bis 18.00 Uhr von den Nordischen Filmtagen. Es wird auch wieder eine spezielle Kinderfilmredaktion geben, die sich besonders um die Kinder- und Jugendfilme kümmert. The "Filmriss" staff of the public radio station "Offener Kanal" will be reporting from the Nordic Film Days from Thursday 1st to Sunday 4th November, 4pm to 6pm each day. There will again be a special team covering children's and youth film department paying particular attention to children's and youth films. Matthias Film präsentiert Johanna-DVD | New DVD from Matthias Film
Nach der Feier zum 50. Geschäftsjubiläum bei den letzt-jährigen Nordischen Filmtagen kehrt Matthias Film mit einer Neuheit nach Lübeck zurück: Annette Eberle und Regina Jabin werden die neue "DVD-educativ" des weitweit erfolgreichen schwedischen Kinderfilms "Kannst du pfeifen, Johanna?" ("Kan du vissla, Johanna" ) von Rumle Hammerich im Rahmen der Filmtage und des Seminars des Bundesverbandes Film und Jugend präsentieren. Geschäftsführer Friedemann Schuchardt hatte den Film seinerzeit im NFL-Heft "Neue Kinder- und Jugendfilme 1996" entdeckt und der Berlinale 1997 empfohlen. Die DVD ist in erster Linie für Schüler der Grundschule gedacht und enthält viele Zusatzinformationen.
 
Returning to the Lübeck after last year's 50th jubilee party here, Matthias Film will launch their new "DVD-educativ" with the Swedish children's film "Wanted: Grandfather" by Rumle Hammerich within the framework of the festival and the seminar of the Federal Youth and Film Association (BJF). Friedemann Schuchardt discovered the film in the annual NFL publication on new children's and youth films 1996 and recommended it to the 1997 Berlinale. The DVD is aimed at young school children and contains much additional material.
 
 
 
Presse-Center und Videobar | Press Centre and Videobar
Im CineStar Filmpalast Stadthalle an der Mühlenbrücke 11 ist neben den Kinos auch das Presse-Center der 43. Nordischen Filmtage Lübeck. Am Informations-stand gibt es alles Wissenswerte rund um die Filmtage zu erfahren. Außerdem ist im Filmpalast Stadthalle tagsüber die Videobar in Kino 4 geöffnet. Dort hat das Fachpublikum wieder Gelegenheit, die im Pro-gramm laufenden Produktionen auf Video zu sichten.
 
In the CineStar Filmpalast Stadthalle at Mühlenbrücke 11 the festival cinemas and the press centre of the 43rd Nordic Film Days Lübeck are all together under one roof. Information about the festival is available at the information counter. The videobar in cinema 4 of the Filmpalast is open during the daytime. Film professionals will have the opportunity to view films from the current programme on video there.

Allen akkreditierten Teilnehmern der NFL wird ein besonderer Service angeboten. In Zusammenarbeit mit dem Stadtverkehr Lübeck können Fachbesucher vom 1. bis 4. November alle Bus- und Bahnlinien im Lübecker Stadtgebiet gegen Vorlage des Akkreditierungsausweises kostenlos nutzen. Öffnungszeiten der meisten Geschäfte in der Innenstadt (außer Sonntag) von 9 bis 19 Uhr.
 
For the first time the Nordic Film Days have reached an agreement with the Lübeck Transportation Company which allows accredited guests of the festival to travel free of charge on all Lübeck city bus and train lines from November 1-4 during the Film Days. Just show your accreditation badge! Opening times of most shops in the inner city are from 9 to 19 hrs except Sunday.
 
 
 
Location-Führung durch Lübecks Altstadt | On Location: Guided Tour of Historic Lübeck
Die Nordischen Filmtage freuen sich, dass die MSH Gesellschaft zur Förderung audiovisueller Werke in Schleswig-Holstein mbH den Fachbesucherinnen und Fachbesuchern eine Location-Führung in englischer Sprache durch Lübecks historische Altstadt anbietet. Der zirka anderthalbstündige Rundgang findet am Samstag, 3. November, um 13.30 Uhr statt.
 
NFL is pleased to be able to offer guests an English-language guided tour of film locations in Lübeck's historic centre, courtesy of the MSH Society for the Promotion of Audiovisual Works in Schleswig-Holstein. The tour starts at 13.30 hrs on Saturday 3rd November and lasts about an hour and a half.
 
 
 
Neue Kinder- und Jugendfilme aus Skandinavien | New Children's and Youth Films from Scandinavia
Begleitend zu den 43. Nordischen Filmtagen Lübeck findet von Freitag bis Sonntag, 2. bis 4. November, zum 23. Mal eine internationale Tagung von Medienpädagogik- und Kinderkinofachleuten statt. Veranstalter sind der Bundesverband Jugend und Film und die Landesarbeitsgemeinschaft Jugend und Film Schleswig-Holstein zusammen mit dem Kommunalen Kino der Hansestadt Lübeck. Ziel der Veranstaltung ist es, interessante Filme für die Kinder- und Jugendfilmarbeit zu sichten, sie mit anwesenden Regisseurinnen und Regisseuren und Kolleginnen und Kollegen aus anderen Ländern zu diskutieren und für die eigene Arbeit auszuwerten. Geleitet wird das Seminar, dessen Diskussionen auf Deutsch und Englisch geführt werden, von Helga Brandt und Ulrich Ehlers. Zum Abschluss der Veranstaltung werden die Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmer wieder Empfehlungen für den Ankauf skandinavischer Kinder- und Jugendfilme an den deutschen Filmverleih abgeben.
 
To accompany the the 43rd Nordic Film Days Lübeck, an international congress for experts in the area of media paedagogics and children's films will take place for the 23rd time from Friday until Sunday, November 2-4. The congress is being organized by the German Federal Association for Youth and Film and the Working Group for Youth and Film Schleswig-Holstein together with the Communal Cinema of the Hanseatic City of Lübeck. The object of the event is to view interesting films for children and young people, discuss them with the directors and with colleagues from other countries and to evaluate them for the activities of all those attending the congress. The discussions, whose working languages are German and English, will be chaired by Helga Brandt and Ulrich Ehlers. At the end of the event the participants can again recommend the Scandinavian children's and young people's films that they think most appropriate for German distributors to buy.
