Inhalt/ Summary

Ein Film über eine pensionierte Postbotin und ehemalige Schauspielerin, die ihr altes Dienstfahrrad nimmt und noch einmal auf Tour geht – durch die sterbenden Dörfer, zu den Menschen, ihren Problemen, in die Vergangenheit. Hier tauchen niemals Offizielle der Europäischen Union auf, um sich über existenzielle Probleme vor Ort zu informieren.

A film about a retired postwoman and former actress who mounts her old post bike once again and sets off on a tour – through the dying villages, to people and their problems, and into the past. Here there is no chance that officials of the European Union will suddenly turn up here to inform themselves about people’s existential difficulties.

Regisseur Enn Säde, Jahrgang 1938, stammt aus einer Zimmermannsfamilie in Pärum. Er studierte am Leningrader Filminstitut. Von 1961 bis 1978 arbeitete er als Toningenieur beim Filmstudio Tallinnfilm. Seit 1978 ist er als Dokumentarfilregisseur tätig.

Director Enn Säde was born in 1938 as the son of a carpenter in Pärum. He studied at the Leningrad Film Institute. From 1961 to 1978 he worked as a sound engineer at the Tallinn Film Studio. He has been working as a documentary film-maker since 1978.
