Das Filmforum Schleswig-Holstein öffnet im Rahmen der Nordischen Filmtage Lübeck ein Fenster für neue Filme aus dem Norden Deutschlands, wo sich in den letzten zehn Jahren eine äußerst produktive und vielfältige Filmszene entwickelt hat. Einige vielversprechende Talente des deutschen Films haben hier ihre ersten filmischen Erfahrungen gesammelt - wie der aus Lübeck stammende Regisseur Miguel Alexandre, der mit seinem neuen Film "Macht" im diesjährigen Programm vertreten ist. Der Polit-Thriller mit Peter Sattmann als aussichtsreichem Spitzenkandidat, der kurz vor den Wahlen entführt wird, und Katja Riemann als seiner Frau, die dahinter ein Komplott aufdeckt, beschäftigt sich mit der Frage:

Welchen Preis ist man bereit zu zahlen, um an die Macht zu kommen? "Ich schätze das Genre sehr und wollte mich darin probieren, aber zugleich auch emotionale Konflikte schildern", meinte der Regisseur, der sich bisher durch sensible psychologische Porträts junger Menschen in Krisensituationen ("Nana", NFL '95, "Der Pakt", NFL '96) hervorgetan hat und dafür vielfach ausgezeichnet wurde.

Ein Schwerpunkt des Filmforums liegt traditionell bei den Dokumentarfilmen. In diesem Jahr dominieren Porträts eigenwilliger Menschen aus dem Norden. Ein weiterer Höhepunkt des Programms wird die Kurzfilmnacht sein, die in Lübeck fast schon Kultstatus genießt. Aber die Programmauswahl ist noch längst nicht abgeschlossen...

Within the framework of the Nordic Film Days, the Filmforum Schleswig-Holstein provides a window for films from the north of Germany, where an extremely productive and varied film scene has developed over the past decade.
