Inhalt/ Summary Alles beginnt damit, daß Ex-Boxer Ford Fordson, dem jetzt das Autobahn-Motel "Motello" gehört, ein bißchen wie einst Rocky im Gefrierraum der Küche trainieren will. Doch plötzlich passiert's: Die Tür schlägt zu, und Fordson wird bei lebendigem Leib tiefgefroren. Nach dem Tod des Vaters kommt Sohn Willy - auch ein Boxer - nach Hause, findet seine Kindheitsliebe Julie wieder. Doch es bleibt wenig Zeit für Romantik. Denn der tote Ford erscheint seinem Sohn und fordert ihn auf herauszufinden, wer denn die Gefrierraumtür zugeschlagen hat. Und für solch eine Tat gibt es viele Kandidaten und Kandidatinnen. It all begins when ex-boxer and motel owner Ford Fordson wants to get a little workout Rocky-style in the kitchen meat locker. But the door falls shut, and only opens from the outside. Fordson deep-freezes to death. So his son Willy, who is also a boxer, comes home and finds his childhood sweetheart Julie again. But their romance is short-lived, for the ghost of Ford appears to Willy and orders him to find out who slammed the meat locker door shut on him. It turns out the list of possible suspects is a long one indeed.
Die Regisseure Steen Rasmussen, Jahrgang 1949, und Michael Wikke, Jahrgang 1959, verließen beide 1982 Danmarks Radio/TV, um ihre eigene Firma Græsted Film zu gründen. Sie haben für ihre Filme die Drehbücher geschrieben, Regie geführt, sie produziert und oft Hauptrollen in ihnen gespielt. Græsted Film hat Fernsehfilme, Werbespots und Kurzfilme produziert. Ihr Debüt-Spielfilm "Russian Pizza Blues" gewann erste Preise in Göteborg und Mannheim. "Motello" ist ihr dritter Spielfilm. The directors Steen Rasmussen, born in 1949, and Michael Wikke, born in 1959, left Danmarks Radio/TV in 1982 to form their own company, Græsted Film. They write, direct, produce and sometimes even play the main parts in their films. Græsted Films has made television movies, commercials and short films. Their feature debut film, "Russian Pizza Blues" (1993), won first prize at the film festivals in Gotheburg and Mannheim. "Motello" is their third feature film.
