Die Abenteuer von Astrid Lindgrens berühmtester Figur zum erstenmal in einem Zeichentrickfilm. Eine internationale Koproduktion, in der die Straßen englische Namen tragen, die Autorin aber "ihre Pippi" - die schwedische - immer noch wiedererkennt.
Die Filmhandlung folgt, angesehen von einer Rahmengeschichtete, Astrid Lindgrens Büchern. Neu ist, daß Fräulein Prüsselius sich schließlich mit den Gangstern Karlsson und Blom einläßt, um Pippi habhaft zu werden: Pippi will einen Zirkus besuchen, und währenddessen sollen Karlsson und Blom das Mädchen einfangen. Aber so einfach geht das nicht - und eine wilde Jagd beginnt, die über viele Straßen führt.
Die Nordischen Filmtage Lübeck zeigen die deutsche Vorpremiere anläßlich des 90. Geburtstags von Astrid Lindgren (14. November).

The adventures of Astrid Lindgren's most famous character for the first time as an animation film. Although it is an international co-production in which the streets have English names, the author said she still recognized "her Pippi" - the Swedish Pippi.
Apart from a secondary plot the film follows Astrid Lindgrenís books closely. New to the story is that Miss Prusselius joins forces with the gangsters Karlsson and Blom to try and capture Pippi. Pippi wants to go to the circus where the gangsters are supposed to nab her. But itís not all that easy - a wild chase begins through a crisscross of streets.
The Nordic Film Days Lübeck present a preview screening of the film on the occasion of Astrid Lindgren's 90th birthday (November 14).
