Inhalt/ Summary
Sie kommt nachts, still wie eine Katze, um ihm den Schlaf zu rauben – bis er sie füttert. Sie braucht eine ganz besondere Milch, die von ihm irgendwo zwischen Schlaf und Wirklichkeit gebracht wird. Sie nennt sich Schlaflosigkeit. Ein schillernder Kurzfilm ohne Worte.
She creeps up on him at night, stealthy as a cat, to rob him of sleep – until he feeds her. She needs a very special milk that he brings somewhere between sleep and reality. She calls herself Insomnia. A scintillating short film without words.
Vladimir Leschiov wurde 1970 in Lettland geboren und besuchte bis 1989 die J. Rozenthal-Kunstschule in Riga. Nach seiner Militärzeit begann er 1991, Kunstwerke auszustellen. Seit 1993 arbeitet er als Regisseur, Designer und Animateur fürs Fernsehen, für Musikclips und Werbespots, nicht nur in Lettland. 2001 und 2002 absolvierte er ein Kunststudium in Eksjö, Schweden. Er gewann mehrere Preise, unter anderem den Latvian Music Award für das beste Musikvideo 1998.
Vladimir Leschiov was born in Latvia in 1970 and attended the J. Rozenthal Art School in Riga until 1989. After military service, he began exhibiting his work in 1991. Since 1993 he has worked in television as a director, designer and animator, and has made music clips and advertising spots, not only in Latvia. In 2001 and 2002 he studied art in Eksjö, Sweden. He has won several awards, including the Latvian Music Award for Best Music Video in 1998.
