Inhalt/ Summary

„Filetstück“ ist ein Film über die Menschen im Mikrokosmos „Alternative e.V.“. In dokumentarischen Filmausschnitten und Interviews zeichnet er die Ursprünge und die Entwicklung des subkulturellen Zentrums in Lübeck nach . Anfangs als kurzer Film über die Geschichte der „Alternative“ geplant, hat sich daraus eine Dokumentation über politische Entscheidungen und den daraus entstandenen Protest entwickelt.

“The Choicest Cut” is a film about people in the microcosm of “Alternative e.V.”. Documentary film excerpts and interviews trace the origins and development of this centre of Lübeck’s subculture and document the views of those involved. Originally planned as a short film about the history of the “Alternative”, it has become a documentary about political decision-making and popular protest.

Regisseurin Miriam Rupp, geboren 1971, arbeitet hauptberuflich als Lehrerin. Den Streit um das Gelände auf der Lübecker Wallhalbinsel hat sie über viele Monate recherchiert. „Filetstück“ ist ihr erstes Filmprojekt.Regisseur Rolf Schwarz, geboren 1964, lebt in Lübeck und arbeitet als Video- und Tontechniker in Hamburg. Die Diskussion um die Wallhalbinsel ist für ihn der Auslöser für eine intensivere Auseinandersetzung mit Motiven der Beteiligten gewesen. „Filetstück“ ist sein Filmdebüt.

Director Miriam Rupp, born in 1971, is a teacher. She spent many months researching the conflict about the site on Lübeck’s Wall Peninsula. “The Choicest Cut” is her first film project.Director Rolf Schwarz, born in 1964, lives in Lübeck and works as a video and sound engineer in Hamburg. The Wall Peninsula debate prompted him to explore the motivations of those involved. “The Choicest Cut” is his film debut.
