Kinderfilmpreis der Nordischen Filminstitute - Begründung der Jury

Lübeck, 2. November
 
Anläßlich der 45. Nordischen Filmtage Lübeck 2003 vergibt die Jury den Kinderfilmpreis der Nordischen Filminstitute an:
 
Fia og klovnene / Fia!
 
Der Preis geht an einen Film, der die Situation eines lebhaften Kindes in einer schwierigen Lebenssituation beschreibt. Der Mutter entzogen und in der Obhut von Pflegeeltern ist das Kind hin- und hergerissen zwischen liebevoller F�rsorge und der Treue zu seiner wahren Mutter. Auch wenn die junge Zauberk�nstlerin ihre Probleme nicht mit einem "Simsalabim" l�sen kann, so gibt es doch Hoffnung. Ein anregender Film mit einer hinrei�enden Hauptdarstellerin, der L�sungen aufzeigt, ohne zu idealisieren.

Children's Film Prize of the Nordic Film Institutes - Statement of the Jury

On the occasion of the 45th Nordic Film Days Lübeck 2003 the Jury awards the Children's Film Prize of the Nordic Film Institutes to:

The prize goes to a film that describes the situation of a lively child in difficult circumstances. Placed in the care of foster parents, the child is torn between the loving affection of her foster parents and her loyalty to her biological mother. Even though the budding young magician cannot solve her problems at the wave of a wand, there is still hope. This thought-provoking film, with a delightful lead actress, points towards solutions while avoiding idealisation.
