Kinder in der Wildnis | On Horses, Lions and Wolves

„Es ist wohltuend, Kinderfilme zu sehen, die sich nicht nur auf Humor verlassen, sondern auch an die nuancierten Gefühle von Kindern appellieren!“, schrieb die Kopenhagener Zeitung „Berlingske Tidende“ über den dänischen Film Zafir von Li Vilstrup, in dem zwei Elfjährige, Anna und Sharbat, ein wildes Pferd zähmen und familiäre Nöte überwinden. Das gilt auch für andere Filme im Programm: Ein Löwe hilft, wenn auch nur in der Phantasie, dem neunjährigen Simon in Der Löwenbändiger von Manne Lindwall bei der Bewältigung seines Alltags, und Elsa Kvammes Fia! findet Unterstützung bei einem Clown. Wie die zwölfjährige Kim in Peder Norlunds wunderbarem Eröffnungsfilm Wolfsommer, müssen sich auch Emma und Daniel in Ingela Magners Verfilmung des Mats Wahl-Romans in der Wildnis durchschlagen. Für Spannung ist gesorgt!

“It is good to see children’s films that don’t depend on humour alone, but also appeal to the more subtle feelings of children!,” wrote the Copenhagen newspaper “Berlingske Tidende” about the Danish film Zafir by Li Vilstrup, in which two 11-year-olds, Anna and Sharbat, tame a wild horse and overcome their difficulties at home. This is also true of other films in the programme. In Manne Lindwall’s film Strong as a Lion, 9-year-old Simon is helped by a lion, if only in his imagination, to overcome his day-to-day problems, and in Else Kvamme’s Fia! a clown comes to the aid of young Fia. Like 12-year-old Kim in Peder Norlund’s excellent opening film Wolf Summer, Emma and Daniel have to fend for themselves in the wilderness in Ingela Magner’s adaptation of the Mats Wahl novel. An exciting programme, not only for kids!
