Die mit dem Wolf tanzt | Wolf to Open Kids’ Fest

Mit der Geschichte einer ungewöhnlichen Freundschaft eröffnen die 45. Nordischen Filmtage Lübeck ihr Kinder- und Jugendprogramm. Ulvesommer / Wolf Summer, das Spielfilmdebüt von Peder Norlund, erzählt von dem dramatischen Abenteuer, das die 12jährige Kim erlebt, als sie heimlich zu einer Klettertour ins Gebirge aufbricht. Verletzt findet sie Unterschlupf bei einer Wölfin und ihrem Jungen und muss die Tiere bald vor aufgebrachten Jägern schützen. Mit viel Spannung und bestechenden Aufnahmen der Annäherung zwischen Mensch und Tier gelangte diese von Axel Helgelands Northern Lights A/S produzierte Variante von Free Willy an die Spitze der norwegischen Kinohits. Sie bildet den starken Auftakt zu einer Sektion, die seit Jahren junges Publikum und wichtige Branchenvertreter zum Lübecker Festival lockt.

The children’s and youth film programme of the 45th Nordic Film Days Lübeck will open with the story of an unusual friendship. Peder Norlund’s feature debut Ulvesommer / Wolf Summer tells of the dramatic adventure experienced by 12- year-old Kim when she secretly sets out on a climbing tour in the mountains. On her way she is injured and takes shelter with a wolf and her cubs. She soon has to protect them from angry hunters who want to kill the wolves. With its exciting story and captivating images of an affinity between man and beast, this variation of the Free Willy theme, produced by Axel Helgeland’s Northern Lights A/S, catapulted itself to the top of the Norwegian box office. It raises the curtain on a section that for years has attracted young viewers and interested film professionals to the Lübeck festival.
