Inhalt/ Summary

Aija Kuge, eine lettische Hörfunk-Journalistin, ist mit einem Serben verheiratet und lebt seit über 25 Jahren in Belgrad. Sie hat von den verschiedenen Fronten des Bürgerkrieges in Ex-Jugoslawien berichtet. Auch während des Nato-Bombardements harrte sie in Belgrad aus und trug mit ihren engagierten Berichten und Reportagen dazu bei, der Welt wahrheitsgetreue Informationen über die Kriege in der früheren Republik Jugoslawien zu liefern.Der Film zeichnet das Porträt einer ungewöhnlichen und mutigen Frau und reflektiert die Rolle der Journalisten in Kriegszeiten.

Aija Kuge, a Latvian radio journalist, is married to a Serb and has lived in Belgrade for more than 25 years. She has reported from the front during the civil war in former Yugoslavia. During the Nato bombing, she remained in Belgrade and her commitment to reporting helped to supply unbiased information on the war situation.The film portrays a remarkable and courageous woman and reflects on the role of journalists in times of war.

Romualds Pipars, Jahrgang 1952, studierte von 1971 bis 1976 an der Staatlichen Universität Lettland (Geographie). Er war als Regisseur, Kameramann, Drehbuchautor und Produzent an über 250 Filmen für das Riga Documentary Film Studio, das lettische Staatsfernsehen und andere beteiligt.

Romualds Pipars, born in 1952, studied Geography from 1971 to 1976 at the State University of Latvia. He was involved, as director, cameraman, scriptwriter and producer, in more than 250 film projects for the Riga Documentary Film Studio, Latvian State Television and others.
