Inhalt/ Summary

Sophia ist eine von drei Schwestern, die – obwohl sie alle Anfang 30 sind – von ihren Eltern immer noch wie Kinder behandelt werden. Die Familienfeste wie Geburtstage und Weihnachten haben sich daher für die drei zu einer echten Qual entwickelt. Für Sophia brechen besonders schwierige Zeiten an: Sie bekommt ausgerechnet in dem Moment eine Hauptrolle in einer Fernsehserie, als sie gerade Mutter geworden ist. Die Großmutter hilft zwar beim Babysitten, aber die Doppelbelastung wird zum Problem mit Sophias Freund. Und natürlich kommt alles anders, als man denkt …

Sophia is one of three sisters who are all in their early thirties, but still treated as children by their parents. As a result, family gatherings such as birthdays and Christmas have become nothing less than torture for them. There are difficult times ahead for Sophia. Just as she becomes a mother, she is offered a leading role in a television serial. The grandmother helps out with babysitting, but the double workload puts a strain on the relationship with her boyfriend. And of course, things never go as expected …

Die Regisseure Måns Herngren und Hannes Holm wurden beide in den 60er Jahren in Stockholm geboren und trafen sich bereits als Teenager. Sie gelten als sehr produktiv und arbeiten seit über zehn Jahren zusammen. Sie haben Serien, Sketche und Satiren fürs Fernsehen verwirklicht und “ABBA – Die wahre Geschichte” auf die Bühne gebracht. 1995 schrieben und drehten sie ihren ersten Spielfilm. “One in a Million”. Der Film erhielt gute Kritiken und war ein Publikumserfolg. 1997 folgte der Kassenschlager und Festivalhit „Adam & Eva“.

Directors Måns Herngren und Hannes Holm were both born in Stockholm in the 1960s and met as teenagers. They are very productive and have worked together for more than ten years, creating serials, sketches and satires for television and staging “ABBA - The True Story“ for the theatre. In 1995 they scripted and produced their first feature film, “One in a Million”. It was well received by critics and audiences alike. Their box office hit and festival success “Adam & Eva” followed in 1997.
