Baltischer Filmpreis - Begründung der Jury

Lübeck, 7. November
 
Anläßlich der 41. Nordischen Filmtage Lübeck 1999 vergibt die Jury den Baltischer Filmpreis an:
 
MIFUNE
 
F�r die Wichtigkeit, mit welcher ein breites Spektrum an moralischen Problemen in Angriff genommen wird, f�r visuelle Originalit�t der Erz�hlweise, f�r Qualit�t und Reinheit der Regie, sowie f�r harmonische k�nstlerische Gestaltung wurde dieser Film ausgew�hlt. Die baltische Jury gibt eine lobende Erw�hnung an den Film, der besonders gut den Kriterien der Jury entspricht - au�er technischer Qualit�t die menschliche Seele einzubringen. Der Film "Die Souffleuse" der Regisseurin Hilde Heier (Norwegen) erz�hlt eine Geschichte zum Anschauen und Nachdenken, er beschreibt die Einsamkeit einer Seele und die Z�rtlichkeit des Zusammenseins, erz�hlt uns von der Angst und dem Mut, der eigenen Natur treu zu bleiben.

Baltic Films Prize - Statement of the Jury

On the occasion of the 41th Nordic Film Days Lübeck 1999 the Jury awards the Baltic Films Prize to:

This film was selected in view of the importance with which it takes up a whole spectrum of moral questions, the visual originality of way in which it is told, the quality and purity of the directing as well as ist overall harmonious artistic design. The Baltic Films Jury awards a Special Mention to a film which corresponds especially closely to the Jury�s criteria - a film which above and beyondtechnical quality touches the soul. It is the film THE PROMPTER by the director Hilde Heier (Norway). It tells a story to be observed and thought about, describes the loneliness of a soul and the tenderness of being together, and tells us about the fear and the courage of being true to one�s own nature.
