Dr. Werner Barg, geboren 1957, studierte Germanistik, Soziologie und Pädagogik in Kiel, Marburg und Freiburg. Er war Dozent an der Universität Kiel und künstlerisch-wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter im Bereich Fernsehen/Film der Kunsthochschule für Medien Köln. Daneben war er als Filmjournalist und Drehbuchautor tätig und realisierte eigenen Kurz- und Dokumentarfilme. Seit August 1998 ist er Studienleiter an der Deutschen Film- und Fernsehakademie Berlin. Dr. Werner Barg, born in 1957, studied German literature, sociology and education in Kiel, Marburg and Freiburg before instructing film history and aesthetics at the University of Kiel and working for the Cologne Media Arts Academy as artistic and scientific assistant. He has also worked as film journalist and screenwriter, and directed his own short films. He joined the Berlin film school DFFB as an instructor in August of 1998.
