Einige Frauen aus Halle, die in den achtziger Jahren in der Friedensbewegung tätig waren, kommen noch einmal zusammen und reflektieren ihre Aktionen und Gefühle. Sie berichten von Haft und Repression durch die DDR-Staatsorgane, aber auch davon, wie die Solidarität der Frauengruppe und deren Aktivitäten ihnen geholfen haben, nicht den Mut zu verlieren und die Verfolgungen zu überstehen. Mit Humor und Betroffenheit erzählen sie auch davon, wie die Staatssicherheit der DDR – unter dem Tarnnamen „Die Wespen" versuchte, die Frauengruppe auszuspionieren und zu kontrollieren. Das couragiertes Engagement der Frauen in vergangenen Zeiten bestimmt auch ihre Lebenswege im vereinten Deutschland.
A few women from the East German city of Halle who were active in the peace movement in the 1980s get together again and reflect on their feelings and actions. They tell of imprisonment and repression at the hands of the East German state authorities, but also of how the group's solidarity and activities helped them to keep up their courage and withstand the persecution. With humour and emotion, they recount that the East German secret police, the Stasi, tried to infiltrate and control the group of women, code named "the Wasps". The women's brave commitment in the past has also affected their lives in reunified Germany.
