Der Titel von Stig Björkmans Dokumentarfilm spielt natürlich auf Vilgot Sjömans aufsehenerregende zweiteilige Gesellschaftssatire – „Ich bin neugierig – gelb“ und „Ich bin neugierig – blau“ – aus den 60er Jahren an, die wegen des Nacktsprungs der Hauptdarstellerin Lena Nyman ein Skandal wurde. In „Ich bin neugierig – Film“ ist Lena Nyman nun die Führerin auf einem Streifzug durch die skandinavische Filmgeschichtete, mit Björn Granath (als Georg af Klercker), Aki Kaurismäki, Erland Josephson, Astrid Henning-Jensen, Stefan Jarl, Eva Isaksen, Fridrik Thor Fridriksson und anderen prominenten Regisseuren. „Ich bin neugierig – Film“ ist Teil einer vom British Film Institute angeregten filmhistorischen Serie anläßlich des 100jährigen Kinojubiläums.
The title of Stig Björkman’s documentary film is of course a play on the title of Vilgot Sjöman’s sensational two-part social satire “I am Curious –Yellow“ and “I am Curious – Blue“ from the 1960s, which achieved considerable notoriety due to the dive in the nude by starlet Lena Nyman. In “I am Curious – Film“ Lena Nyman is now our guide through a brief survey of Scandinavian film history, with Björn Granath (as Georg af Klercker), Aki Kaurismäki, Erland Josephson, Astrid Henning-Jensen, Stefan Jarl, Eva Isaksen, Fridrik Thor Fridriksson and other prominent film directors. “I am Curious – Film“ is part of a film historical series initiated by the British Film Institute on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of cinema.
