Inhalt/ Summary

Irgendwo in Island liegt ein einsamer Bauernhof: Dort leben der alte Hrafn und seine Frau. Als sie stirbt, geht Hrafn bis zum Äußersten, um seine Unabhängigkeit zu bewahren. Kraftvolles poetisches Kurzfilm-Kino aus Island, dessen gewaltige Natur einmal mehr eine entscheidende Rolle spielt.

Somewhere in Iceland there is a lonely farm where old Hrafn and his wife live. When she dies, Hrafen stops at nothing to hold on to his independence and his dignity. A powerful and lyrical short film from Iceland in which the awesome landscape once again plays a major role.

Runar Runarsson wurde 1977 geboren und ist Gründer der sogenannten Independent filmcompany, einer Organisation junger isländischer Filmemacher, die sich auf Kurz- und Dokumentarfilme spezialisiert haben. Er gehört der jüngeren Regisseursgeneration an und hat in den vergangenen Jahren eine Reihe von Kurz- und Dokumentarfilmen inszeniert. 1998 leitete Runarsson das Kurzfilmfestival von Reykjavík.

The director Runar Runarsson (born 1977) is the founder of the so-called Independent filmcompany, which is an organisation of young filmmakers in Iceland, mostly specialising in short and documentary films. Runarsson is one of the directors from the younger generation in Iceland. Through the years he has made several shorts and documentaries. In 1998, Runarsson was the director of Reykjavík shortfilmfestival.
