Kulturkooperation im Ostseeraum | Cultural Cooperation in the Baltic Region

Ein neues Logo ziert diesen Newsletter: Ars Baltica. Die Nordischen Filmtage Lübeck wur-den in den kleinen Kreis auserwählter Projekte aufgenommen, die sich mit dem Ars Baltica-Logo schmücken dürfen. Vor 15 Jahren zur Unter-stützung des Austausches zwischen westlicher und östlicher Kultur ins Leben gerufen, vereint Ars Baltica Kulturschaffende aller Nationen des Ostseeraums, von Norwegen bis Russland. Mit dieser Auszeichnung würdigt die Organisation den Beitrag der Nordischen Filmtage Lübeck zur Förderung des interkulturellen Austausches in der Region. Die Kooperation mit Partnern im Ostseeraum prägt auch die Bewerbung der Hansestadt Lübeck zur Kulturhauptstadt Europas 2010 – deren Logo und Leitmotiv diesen Newsletter ebenfalls schmücken. Liv Ullmann, unsere Ehrenpräsidentin, unterstützt auch diese Initiative.

The Newsletter is sporting a new logo: Ars Baltica. The Nordic Film Days Lübeck was taken into the small number of projects to be granted the privilege of carrying the Ars Baltica logo. Founded 15 years ago to promote cultural exchange between Western and Eastern European countries, Ars Baltica brings together cultural representatives from virtually all the nations in the Baltic Sea region, from Norway to Russia. The organisation recognizes the contri-bution the festival makes toward bolstering the cross-border cultural scene in the Baltic region. The cooperation throughout the Baltic region also marks the application of the Hanseatic City of Lübeck to be selected as European Cultural Capital 2010 – the leitmotif and logo of which also adorn this Newsletter. Liv Ullmann, our Honorary President, supports this initiative.
